Spawned from the desert west of Tuscon and the American dream revisited Phillip Mills packed his six string and his six gun, saddled up and moved west to California in search of women, whiskey and trouble. As luck would have it he found Ben “Trouble” Trumbo with his drums crafted by the ancients at a studio soon after landing in Northern California, and the music connected their souls in a way that couldn’t long be forgotten. Phillip stumbled across another sidewinder with a quick trigger finger by the name of Ian Lamson from the Elvin Bishop Band and an old friend of Ben’s. Many sideswept adventures took these ramblers in various directions and stages but the call of the wild brought their sound finally together with a new thunder like a herd of wild horses. Ben called on his old friend Bill MacBeath who played formerly with Preacher Boy, Bo Diddley, and many greats, to complete the pack with his bass.
The Blackout Cowboys mean business and they rock the stage like nothing you have heard in a long time! Lock up your women and your good whiskey, they are coming to your town. Come on out and hear their AMAZING set ! One of the best bands I’ve EVER heard, their songs are rocking like a heard of wild horses in a thunderstorm and then the calm after the storm so beautiful and profound. These boys are definitely going somewhere big, so saddle up sister, we’re going for a ride !
